What we Do
The Dungala Kaiela Foundation is committed to improving the well-being of Indigenous families and communities in Victoria,especially in the Goulburn Valley. Its focus is strengthening social, educational, economic, health and cultural capabilities, particularly for young people.
The Foundation works through partnerships to provide a range of activities, supports, information, courses, scholarships, programs and research for young people, their families, program workers and the community.
Who we are
The Foundation is a non-profit public company that is limited by guarantee and is governed by its Board. Our chair is Paul Briggs OAM and board members are Felicia Dean, Justin Mohamed and Steven Rothfield
The Foundation is a Public Benevolent Institution with an endorsement from the Australian Taxation Office as a deductible gift recipient under Item 1 of the table in section 30-15 of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997. It is also has been endorsed by the Australian Taxation Office for charity tax concessions.
It has been operating since May 2008.
